Why hello there! The Fat Lot of Good Podcast launched on April 12!
On launch day we released THREE brand new episodes full of fat chat and general nonsense. A new episode is released every Friday morning.  Subscribe now to the Fat Lot of Good podcast and this is what you'll find...

Episode 1: Natalie Lee (a.k.a. Style Me Sunday)
"Whenever I'm naked, I always get high engagement."

Natalie Lee specialises in fashion with feeling which she features on her instagram and her blog, she curates the empowering ’Warrior Women’ events and co-hosts the Everything Project podcast on Soho Radio. Basically, she’s an inspiration to us all. In this episode she talks to Helen about being raised in a yo-yo diet culture, encouraging her children to celebrate blackness and the #fridayfinger…

This podcast is sponsored by the fabulous Boobydoo.co.uk - They have the best range of sports bras. Whether you're doing a yoga class, a jog around the block or running a marathon, the will have a bra to suit you and your boobs! Just
go to Boobydoo.co.uk to find your perfect bra today. And follow them on Instagram @boobydoobras.

Episode 2: Jack Rooke
"I am capable of atrocity."

In this episode, the really rather wonderful comedian and campaigner Jack Rooke drops in for some fat chat with Helen. It’s the first time they’ve met sober and not in a field at an arts festival but don’t worry, Jack still brings the party atmosphere to our little studio! They discuss having too many lasagnes (is there such a thing?), being fat in gay clubs, the dangers of self depreciation and, well, balls...

Episode 3: Arabella Weir
"Have you seen the undercarriage?"

This legendary comedian, actress and writer is best known for the Fast Show and Grumpy Old Women as well as for her bestselling books, including
'Does My Bum Look Big in This?' and 'The Real Me Is Thin'. Helen talks to Arabella about being labelled ‘too fat for potatoes’ as a child, comedy as a defence mechanism, crash dieting and the behaviour of a particularly disgraceful man…

Episode 4: Dieting, Exercise and Weighing your Boobs with Clemmie Telford

Are you making a political statement or are you just lazy!?
This week Helen is joined by the gorgeous Clemmie Telford, creator and curator of motherofalllists.com, Instagrammer, Consultant Creative Director and mother of three. Over vegan biscuits and oat-milk cappuccinos (very off-brand for Helen) they talk about escaping diet culture, throwing away the scales, being picked last at school and the gastric impact of lentils.

You can follow Clemmie Telford @clemmie_telford on Twitter and Instagram. Her blog can be found at motherofalllists.com.

When talking about intuitive eating Clemmie references Pandora Paloma @rootedliving and Laura Thomas @laurathomasphd and her podcast is called Don't Salt My Game.

5. Cancer, Sex and Poo with Deborah (aka Bowel Babe) and Lauren from You, Me & the Big C.

Helen chats to the outrageously funny and brutally honest Deborah James and Lauren Mahon. They are the hosts of ‘You, Me and the Big C’, a BBC Radio 5 Live podcast which was started up by the news presenter Rachel Bland, who sadly passed away last year. In this episode of Fat Lot of Good, Deborah and Lauren talk about the impact of cancer on body image, unsolicited medical advice from strangers, and requesting a smaller speculum.

Follow both of these wonderful women on instagram! Deborah James is
@bowelbabe and Lauren Mahon is @girlvscancer. You can also find You, Me and the Big C wherever you get your podcasts from and on the BBC Radio 5 live website.

Hello and welcome to the Fat Lot of Good podcast! This is a funny and honest podcast about our bodies - what we think of them, what we put in them, what we do with them and what it really means to be a fat person in a thin obsessed world. In this episode, we will tell you all about the show and then on Friday 12th of April 2019 our first THREE episodes will drop. Subscribe now to make sure you don't miss out!
The podcast is hosted by the fabulous Helen Thorn, award winning comedian, fashion blogger and one half of the Scummy Mummies. In the podcast, Helen will talk to a range of fascinating experts, hilarious comedians and blatant show-offs about their relationship with their bodies and how this has changed over the years. Upcoming guests include Sofie Hagen, Arabella Weir, Natalie Lee (aka Style Me Sunday), Jack Rooke and Clemmie Telford.

The show tackles the big issues like body shaming, social media, sport, sex and the diet industry. Helen wants to find out why - in this supposed age of body positivity - do we all still struggle to love ourselves?

This podcast stands proudly on its two fat legs, holds its double chins high and shouts, "I AM F*CKING FABULOUS!"

Fat Lot of Good is presented by Helen Thorn and produced by Maddie Hickish. The theme tune was composed by John Thorn and the jingles are by Simon Toner.

Helen is on instagram @helenwearsasize18 and Twitter @helen_thorn.
You can find producer Maddie @maddiehickish on both instagram and twitter.
